Sample Work

Some people would say it's in my genes to take pictures because my father is a shutterbug. After two photography classes with Professor Curtis Callaway at Baylor, I know how to use Pentax, Canon and Nikon cameras. I've had the most experience with Canon cameras.  Scenic, night and studio photography are all areas I've had experienced with during my studies. In addition, I know how to use strobe lighting to produce a well-balanced picture.

Between writing and editing stories, I have had the opportunity to design pages for the Lariat.  During big publications, I help design news pages. I also design pages for special sections.
For the majority of these instances, I've used InDesign to lay out pages.
For designing multimedia projects, I have experience with Final Cut Pro. For an example of my multimedia work, click here.
I've had experience writing for newspapers and magazines. I have been a staff writer, assistant city editor and city editor with the Baylor Lariat in Waco, Texas. With that paper, I've written breaking news stories, features, profiles and regular news stories.  When I studied abroad in Florence, Italy during the 2013 summer, I wrote for the Baylor in Florence magazine that was written, designed and edited by students.
