I am currently a junior journalism and religion double major at Baylor University. My focus is news editorial in journalism and I will graduate in May 2015. Originally from Tyrone, Ga., I enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures. Recently I traveled to Florence, Italy, where I honed my photography and writing skills.

I’ve been the city editor at the Baylor Lariat, which the campus newspaper at Baylor, for almost a year.  Not everyone could handle the daily demands of organizing content, directing breaking news, writing stories when needed and answering the questions of four staff writers and 15 reporters. I’ve been called crazy for loving this job, but it’s one I thoroughly enjoy.

On the side, I like to take pictures. I’ve had experience with moonlit photography as well as strobe lighting. Photo stories, event coverage, portraits and scenic shots are a few of my favorite types of shoots.

Family is important me. I have a strong relationship with my sister (who is the girl on the left side of the picture). Some of my experience with video and photography comes from the projects I've worked on with my sister for fun.
